Terms of Use

Last updated: May 2026  ·  Effective immediately upon account creation

The short version: Mira is a parenting guidance tool, not a medical service. Use it as a calm, informed companion — not a replacement for your pediatrician. Be respectful, be honest about your child's age, and we'll do our best to be genuinely useful to your family.

1. Acceptance of these terms

By creating a Mira account or using our services, you agree to these Terms of Use and our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, please don't use Mira.

We may update these terms from time to time. We'll email you if anything significant changes. Continued use after an update means you accept the new terms.

2. What Mira is — and isn't

Mira is not a medical service. The guidance Mira provides is for general informational purposes only, grounded in publicly available WHO, CDC, and AAP guidelines. It is not a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Always consult your pediatrician or a qualified healthcare provider with questions about your child's health.

Mira is a parenting companion tool that provides:

Mira does not provide medical diagnoses, prescribe treatments, or replace professional advice from doctors, therapists, or specialists.

3. Eligibility

Mira is intended for use by adults aged 18 and over. By creating an account, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old and are the parent or legal guardian of the child whose information you enter.

Mira is available in the United States and other English-speaking markets. We make no representation that Mira is appropriate or available in all jurisdictions.

4. Your account

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. Do not share your password. If you suspect unauthorised access, contact us immediately at hello@withmira.io.

You may only create one account per person. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.

5. Subscription and billing

Free trial

Mira offers a 15-day free trial. No credit card is required to join the waitlist. A payment method is required when your trial begins if you choose to continue.

Paid plans

Mira offers monthly and annual subscription plans. Pricing is displayed in the app at the time of purchase. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled.

Cancellation and refunds

You may cancel your subscription at any time. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period — you retain access until then. We do not offer pro-rated refunds for partial billing periods, but we'll work with you if you have a genuine issue. Email hello@withmira.io.

In-app purchases (iOS/Android)

Purchases made through the Apple App Store or Google Play are subject to those platforms' billing and refund policies, which take precedence over ours for those transactions.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

7. Intellectual property

All content, design, code, and materials within Mira are owned by or licensed to us. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without our written permission.

Content you enter into Mira (your questions, your child's milestone notes) remains yours. You grant us a limited licence to use it solely for providing and improving the service as described in our Privacy Policy.

8. Disclaimer of warranties

Mira is provided "as is" and "as available". We make no warranties, express or implied, regarding the accuracy, completeness, or fitness for purpose of any guidance provided. Developmental milestones are population-level benchmarks — individual children vary widely and guidance should never replace professional assessment.

We are not responsible for decisions made based on Mira's responses. Always apply your own judgement and consult professionals when in doubt.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Mira and its team shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service. Our total liability to you for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of New York.
