The short version: Mira collects only what's needed to give your child personalised guidance. We never sell your data, never share it with advertisers, and never use it to train AI models without your explicit consent. Your family's information belongs to your family.
Mira is a parenting companion app for children aged 0–5, built and operated by Mira (withmira.io). When this policy refers to "Mira", "we", "us" or "our", it means us.
If you have questions about this policy, email us at hello@withmira.io.
Everything we collect is used to make Mira better for your family. Specifically:
We do not use your data to train AI models. We do not use your data for advertising. We do not sell your data — ever.
Your data is stored securely using Supabase, hosted on infrastructure compliant with industry-standard security practices. All data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest.
Child profile data is stored using anonymised identifiers — your child's name and date of birth are stored in your personal account only, not linked to any third-party analytics or data platforms.
We apply role-based access controls, meaning only you (via your account) and our server infrastructure can access your family's data. No Mira employee can read your chat history or child data without your explicit support request.
We work with a small number of trusted third-party service providers to operate Mira, including providers of database and authentication services, payment processing, server infrastructure, AI response generation, and transactional email delivery. These providers are contractually required to handle your data securely and only for the purposes we specify. We do not share your data with any provider beyond what is necessary to deliver the service.
We do not share your data with advertisers, data brokers, or analytics platforms.
We may disclose data if required by law or to protect the safety of a child — but we will always try to notify you first if legally permitted.
Mira is designed for use by parents and caregivers — not by children. All accounts must be created by an adult (18+). We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children.
Child profile data (name, date of birth, milestone information) is provided by the parent and used solely to personalise the guidance Mira gives to that parent.
Mira complies with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and does not market to or collect data from children.
You have the right to:
To exercise any of these rights, email hello@withmira.io. We'll respond within 5 business days.
We keep your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we delete your personal data within 30 days. Anonymised, aggregated usage statistics (with no personally identifiable information) may be retained indefinitely to improve the product.
Backups are retained for up to 90 days, after which deleted data is permanently removed from our systems.
The Mira app does not use advertising cookies. The landing page (withmira.io) uses only essential session cookies required for the waitlist form to function. We do not use tracking pixels or third-party advertising cookies.
If we make significant changes to how we handle your data, we'll notify you by email and update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of Mira after a change takes effect means you accept the revised policy.
